This post is in response to a request to give a detailed review of the book How to Stay Christian in College. I will give you a few things that suck out to me and hope that it will be of help to you.

*NOTE: The author does not believe in a literal hell. SO if you give this to a kid make sure they know what THEY believe and you have discussed it with them.
**NOTE: I do recall a debate in Apologetics in which our group defended the metaphorical view of hell and I must say this was a very convincing view. Also, our group got the shaft and even Dr. Christopher said so.

#1- THis expression of God really stuck out to me. "God is one What and three Who's. I dont know why but I thought that was interesting.

#2 The only way to get a bad thing is to take a good thing and spoil it. Ex. Darkness isnt made up of nothing, you get it because there is something blocking light. GOd created everything God, man just screwed somethings up. Look at Satan, he was good and then he ruined himself.

#3 Faith is more than just head-belief. it means that you stop trusting all the things you've trusted before and put your trust in Christ Jesus instead.

#4Naturalism- Nothing supernatural is real. He discusses the view of these people. That they will be the ones to look to science to answer all the questions. The crux and downfall of this view point is that a naturalist believes in something in spite of the evidence, not because of it. Because we cannot prove God they believe he doesnt exist. THis is a flawed argument and is easly debunked. Ask someone if they believe in gravity or in the wind. These are things that cannot be seen or even "proven" in a sense of the word.

#5 Postmodernism: The belief that nothing hangs together and everything is in pieces. They think truth is fragmented. Relative Truth. The biggest problem a POSTm faces is meaningless. In their view of things, everything is meaningless; soul, truth, life, personality.

I will continue the overview of this book when I have more time.
Hope some of these thought help.
